Digital Pioneer: Charting the Course for Future-Forward Innovation
As the son of a software engineer, I was exposed to technology from a young age. By 12, I was building websites and by 16, I had already gained experience in computer support. After completing my CCNA certification before turning 18, I took a detour into various industries, including truck driving, factory work, and food service. However, I never lost my passion for IT.
In the fall of 2022, I refocused on my true calling by obtaining my A+ certification through CompTIA. Today, I'm proud to be working full-time in network administration, configuring, and maintaining complex systems for restaurants and bars.
In my free time, I delve into the world of AI, exploring applications such as natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), and agentic workflows. My small homelab serves as a sandbox for testing new technologies and supervising my children's computer usage. I also run multiple virtual machines within a Proxmox Hypervisor, controlling our home media, Active Directory, and gaming servers.
Looking ahead, I plan to expand my homelab with an additional node to host a powerful server for AI-related projects and tools. My ultimate goal is to share these experiences and skills with my kids, encouraging them to develop their own tech literacy and creativity.
